Goodbye cast....

Yay!!

Today Grandon got his cast off!!! He was so excited. His skin graph is all healed only a few stitches remain.

His finger looks good, it still has some more healing to do, but doesn't require a cast and he can get wet again!

Some at home physical therapy for a few weeks and he should be good to go.

Such a strong loving kid!

Happy Halloween!!!

The kids had such a good time this year for Halloween.

We did trunk or treat at church the night before Halloween and then went around the block on Halloween night.

We had a low key, laid back Halloween this year.

One cute kitty and her superman!

Pumpkin patch!!!

Fall is the first step to my favorite time of the year, Christmas.

Fall brings the beginning of the cold fronts, the crisp autumn air, the windows open with the curtain blowing in the breeze, the changing of the leave colors, and pumpkin patches!!!

If you've seen my front porch then you know it looks like my own pumpkin patch.

To help Grandon feel a little better we got him out of the house and took him to a pumpkin patch.

I'm currently obsessed with all things pumpkins and the smell of all things pumpkin.

The kids had so much fun at the pumpkin patch with their Oma, Papa, and cousin Tay. It really helped to lift up Grandon's spirits.

           He asked for a pumpkin!

With Tay petting a stinky sheep!

Papa and Mad finding the right pumpkin.

Clayton wanted in on the pumpkin                   picture also!

He posed for me, love this kid!

They loved the photo op on the tractor!

All in all it was a good day, many memories were made, and Grandon got a little sunshine.

Happy Fall y'all!!!

Surgery...Ugh!

This past Wednesday, October 16th, 2013 my sweet little Grandon had yet another surgery on his hand. We are hopeful that this is his last surgery. He had another band removed, along with another full thickness skin graph.

He did very well in surgery and is currently recovering nicely. He takes his meds like a troop and is mastering the art of driving mommy crazy. He is in a temporary cast, he will get his permanent hard cast on Tuesday, and then hopefully he will be able to return back to school.

My house looks like a tornado has went through it and then came back and went through it again. I feel like I'm taking care of a 7 year old infant, while taking care of 6 year old feisty little girl, a 5 month old puppy who likes to chew shoes and stuff animals, and while attending school! AHHH!!!!

The good news is light is at the end of the tunnel, my count down to Tuesday has officially begun, only 4 more days, and that sweet little boy can return back to school....well hopefully....

Happy boy...he loves his mama!!!

Sad because he's about to go into surgery and he is scared.

Fresh out of surgery and in recovery!

Family Pictures 2013

We recently had family pictures taken in my mom's backyard.

It's always fun when you get 18 kids and adults together, oh ya add 2 dogs into the mix as well, add hot humid weather, and you've just made a recipe for success!

I always enjoy family pictures, capturing growing moments, are what we look back on. Here are just a few of my favorite ones. Oh and by the way, there are so many good ones, it's always hard to chose, but that's what happens when you have a great photographer.

School Pictures 2013

We had Grandon and Madison's school pictures does recently. My have my babies grown so much. Grandon is currently in 2nd grade and Madison is currently in 1st grade.

They are both just great, amazingly, fun, loving, sweet kiddos!

Here are a few pictures from the fun photo-shot they had...

They sure are some cute kids, if I do say so myself!

Summer Time and the living is easy...

WOW...I can't believe how quickly this summer just flew by! We were able to enjoy this summer with lots of family and friends. We had Sam for 2 weeks this summer, and I took advantage of it and got family pictures done while he was here, I also did individual and school pictures. Our photographer who has been doing our pictures for the past 3 years now, is amazing, she always captures our family perfectly. So if you're ever in the area book her, Delightful Dimples. I've attached some of my favorite photos.
