Turning 26 isn't as bad as turning 50...

So as everyone pretty much knows my mother and I have the same birthday! My mother turned 50 and I turned 26, since it's the BIG 5-0 for my mom we made this birthday all about her!

She choose to do a Hawaiian theme party! So we went all out...We had grilled pineapple, shrimp, beef, chicken, and veggie kabobs. Fruit platter, two different type salsa's, cake, fruity drinks, strawberry and goat cheese salad, and roasted potatoes.

I hired Hawaiian dancers for our dinner entertainment, they were great! They pulled the birthday girls up with them and taught us two different kinds of dances, it was a blast! To top off the night we had our annual Bingo Bash, with 13 different prizes and a ton of fun had!

We shared out night with wonderful family and friends. Everyone had a great time, and it was a great 50th celebration for my mom! I'm so glad we were able to make so many memories, and most of all I'm SO glad that it's all over!

I love my mother, but man can she stress a girl out! I told her she would be the reason I would end up on blood pressure meds!

Tiffany, (Hi, longtime reader, first time commenter!)I must know, where did you get the containers that you have the tea and the other drink?
I love looking at pics of your parties and am a crazy woman myself when it comes to throwing parties and I have never seen containers like those. I must have some!
Please drop me an email- atprinc@aol.com and let me know either where I might find them or the name so I can google where to get them.
Thanks a bunch,
Amy
P.S. I'm for real- my blog is at megletsworld.blogspot.com
