So it's tradition with my family to NOT go all out for Easter, my mom is a lazy bum and doesn't like to go all out! I'm just kidding, we like to keep it nice and low eye, we make it about the kids and the reason for the celebration!
We don't need to get all dressed up to make it Easter! We had an egg hunt, dinner, and lots of laughs with family and friends!

What's life without great friends?
My friend Sharon and I had been planing a surprise birthday dinner for our friend Melissa, and she was so happy to be taken out, but what I didn't know was that Sharon had been planning for it to be a surprise joint birthday dinner for Melissa and I both!
I was really surprised and didn't expect it at all! We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then Melissa, Sharon, and I went to the movies to see The Last Song!
Such a good movie, I recommend it to everyone! Great date night movie!
Thanks girls y'all totally rock and are the best girlfriends anyone could ask for!

What's a birthday without a yummy Igloo???
So I have the world's best husband EVER! I know, just about every woman says that, but I really do have the most awesomest husband!
This past Sunday was my real birthday and he put me on the couch and told me not to move, I did that really well, wish he'd tell me to do that more often!
While I was laying there watching Buffy, he was in the kitchen creating away! We have this restaurant here in Texas called Houilhan's and they have a desert called "The Snickers Dome" it's only one of my favorites!
So Clayton made me his version of it, and here I am extremely happy to be eating it!

Turning 26 isn't as bad as turning 50...
So as everyone pretty much knows my mother and I have the same birthday! My mother turned 50 and I turned 26, since it's the BIG 5-0 for my mom we made this birthday all about her!
She choose to do a Hawaiian theme party! So we went all out...We had grilled pineapple, shrimp, beef, chicken, and veggie kabobs. Fruit platter, two different type salsa's, cake, fruity drinks, strawberry and goat cheese salad, and roasted potatoes.
I hired Hawaiian dancers for our dinner entertainment, they were great! They pulled the birthday girls up with them and taught us two different kinds of dances, it was a blast! To top off the night we had our annual Bingo Bash, with 13 different prizes and a ton of fun had!
We shared out night with wonderful family and friends. Everyone had a great time, and it was a great 50th celebration for my mom! I'm so glad we were able to make so many memories, and most of all I'm SO glad that it's all over!
I love my mother, but man can she stress a girl out! I told her she would be the reason I would end up on blood pressure meds!
