Mothers

I got this email and thought it to be true, and wanted to share!

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche;
They don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils
Are 20 probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors,
Filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough Doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what The vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?'
And get their answer when a littleVoice says, 'Because I love you best.'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth Is not measured by height or years or grade... It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

The Images of Mother
4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.
16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!
35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure shecarries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, Because that is the doorway to her heart, The place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that sheShows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

Saved the best for last!

As the ole sane goes "Save the best for last" so that's what I've done! This past Saturday, downtown San Antonio had a train show, and of course we just had to take Grandon, what kind of parent's would we have been if we didn't! They had a Thomas the train ride, and tons of trains, just take a look for your self!!!

OK so these trains were totally cool, the whole thing is made completely out of Legos! Top and Bottom pictures!

Grandon Standing with Thomas! He's Dressed as the Conductor so he needs to be at the head of the Train!

All the cousins riding Thomas together,Trevor,Leeander,Madison,
Taylor, and Grandon. The last kid wasn't with us.

Grandon and Daddy

It was so cool, Thomas's tank even blew steam out of the top!

This was a painting that one of the vendors there had, and I totally love it, I wish I had talent like that, I would so try to paint something similar! Just in case you aren't from Texas that is in Austin downtown, you can see the capitol in the back.

This is all the kids riding the Train!!!

Dancing in the car...

The other day we went to go shopping at the outlet malls in San Marcos, and while Grandon was sleeping, Madison decided to get down, and show mommy and daddy her moves, it was so cute, we got a few pictures, and a few videos so I'll share a few of both, they tickled us, and we got a good laugh!!!

OK so I'm sorry that the video is turned the wrong way, apparently Clayton forgot to turn the camera when he was recording, so just tilt your head to the side a bit, and watch the cuteness!!!

Sad and cute all at the same time!!!

A few days after Grandon's surgery, he started to become his little boy self again.

Playing with his sister, beating her up, and this time he was like YES! I have a cast to hit her with, and oh let me tell ya did he hit her with it!!!

We got a couple of super cute pictures of the two of them playing, and one really sad picture of him, not feeling so good the next day after surgery, but it was so cute to see him all knocked out, always carry a pillow in the car!!!!

Let's start from the beginning....

Like normal I am going to post a bunch of blogs all at once, why you ask, because I've let myself get behind yet again! So I'll start from the beginning and work my way up!!!

On Feb. 16th Clayton and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary!!! Yay, wow has it only been 3 with all that we've been through it feels like 20!!!

Anyways we had a nice evening out the Friday after our anniversary, the 20th. We went to dinner and then dancing, we got a quick snap shot of us, I was sad to see it come out a little blurry, but that's ok still a good picture of us!!!

Grandon's Post-Surgery Pics...

I guess, now that things have settled down just a little bit, I can update everyone on Grandon.

His surgery went really good, he had a hard time waking up from the surgery, and was in a lot of pain when he did wake up. They gave him morphine the minute he woke up, and right back to sleep he went. This has been a tough surgery for us.

His recovery has been much more difficult, and the narcotics really changed his personality. Three days later the pain is finally starting to go away, and now it's just more uncomfortable for him to have everything on his hands. He is having to learn to let mommy and daddy help him out and do more for him than he likes. We are holding up and taking everything day by day. Here are some pictures from his surgery, they break and pull on my heart strings every time I look at them.

What's the news...

WOW!!! It's been a little while since I've updated our blog! We have two very big things going on with our family right now.

Our First big thing is... our house is finally up for sale, YAY!!! We are so happy, we are hoping that we can sell it quickly, and then find another home to buy. Before we can do that Clayton and I need to agree on where we want to live, it's a debate between us.

At the end you can click on the website to view our listing.

So our other big news is that Grandon

will be having yet another surgery!
The first picture is from when Grandon
was roughly 3 months old and had his very first surgery.

Now here we are again 3 years later, and you can see that sweet smile on his face as he rides his bike, but in less then a week on Feb. 11th, we won't see that sweet smile for a little bit. Gandon will be getting his 4th surgery.

Both of his hands will be worked on , the middle finger of his left hand, will be getting roughly an 1/8th of in inch of bone cut off. On his right hand they will be cutting down in between his ring and pinky finger. They will have to do more skin graphing on that site as well.

Our poor little man won't have use of either hands for a bit, which means a three year old won't be able to feed himself, dress himself, play, or get baths. Needless to say this just might be one of the hardest surgeries we've had yet.

Please pray for him that all goes well, and for a speedy recovery!

Besides the normal little things that happen in life, that's all we've got for our big news.

You can view our home listing online, here is the website you go to:

Yes, we still are alive!

So it's been what seems like forever since I've posted a blog on here! We have been so busy, and the kids and I got the flu about a week or so ago, and we were out of commission for about a week and a half. We were so sick and laid up in bed, needless to say it was not fun at all. The kids got medicine that helped there symptoms go away, but like the story of my life I was allergic to the medicine, so I had to tough it out.

Beside being sick with the flu, we have been packing away our house. We have finally signed the contract, and our house goes up for sale this week! We are so excited, and hope that we can sale the house quickly. We are very ready to move on with life, we are sad to see our first house go, but so ready to move on. Wish us luck!

Our lovely daughter decided to flood our spare bathroom the other day so that was super fun to clean up! Grandon is starting to talk up a storm, and really understands everything that is going on around him. Clayton and I are both on diets, yes I got Clayton to do Weight Watchers! GO CLAYTON! As well as doing Weight Watchers, I joined in with Jess in her biggest loser challenge. I hope to see great results with it, wish me luck!

Well that's about all for our family, hope everyone else is doing great!
